International Hammers: who are ya?
|
On here and social media, I’ve noticed quite a few are flying in for games. Who are ya, and what’s your story? What’s your connection to West Ham?
I’ll start. Grew up in East Kent, and watched West Ham from the late 70s and all through the 80s mostly from the North Bank. Many away games as well. Watching in the 80s was pretty simple. You just showed up and paid. Moved to Canada/US in 1990, but have always come ‘home’ regularly and usually get to go to 1-2 games per season. This season I’ve been lucky with games- was at the Rapid Vienna, Chelsea and Sevilla home games (with Spurs away the only bad one). My ‘commute’ for games is now from Toronto.
What’s your story?

Grew up on Green St.
Emigrated to Tuvalu in the 80s, where I invented the sex chatline business and inadvertently founded the Twinhammer Network while masquerading as Slutty Saiorse, the mick chick with a dick.

Grew up in London in the 80s
Started business during .com boom and sold it in early 2000s
Moved to Jersey and been there ever since. Season ticket holder and fly in for most home games and a decent chunk of aways.
